sHack’s elite force project began back in 1996, debuting on his own newly founded fused and bruised label with the ‘mainframe wrekka’ ep, and following through to become one of the most respected leading lights of the breaks world with a series of peerless 12”s and remixes. In 2001 he began recording for tech-funk pioneers whole9yards and has since spearheaded their campaign for global domination with three massive 12”s and found support from dancefloors across the globe, as well as finding time to record for labels such as moonshine and blue black. Recent remixes for the likes of crystal method, forme, UNKLE, los paranoias, kraymon and meat katie have helped cement his reputation as one of the most creative and effective remixers around, whilst he continues to ply his genre-bending tech-funk wares on the decks anywhere from bedrock to eklektic.
Recently on 12”, elite force followed up the huge success of ‘Toba’ (Kingsize) with a second collaborative single with meat katie, ‘Juju’, on TCR (april 2003) and the July 2003 release of the elite force single ‘No Turning Back’ (taken from the album of the same name) on whole9yards. Aside from that, new 12"s are coming out in July/August 2003 under the thinly guised Killer Elite alias on TCR ('Triggaman') and as Double Black ('Pipedream') on Lee Coombs' Thrust imprint.
